Privacy policy
This privacy policy informs you which personal data is processed when you visit deinrecatch.de – and which is deliberately not. Short version: this website currently uses no analytics, marketing or embedding services; the tools run entirely in your browser.
1. Controller
Byte Media GmbH
Leo Kobes
Beethovengasse 4-6, Lokal 6
A-2500 Baden bei Wien, Austria
Email: seo@byte.at · Phone: +43 664 8956891
2. Hosting and server log files
When you visit the website, the hosting server automatically processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This processing is necessary for delivering the website and defending against attacks (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest in secure operation). Log files are stored by the hosting provider as a processor and deleted after a short period, usually within a few weeks at the latest, unless a security-relevant incident requires longer retention.
3. Local tools: domain check and calculator
The domain check and the portfolio cost calculator process your input exclusively locally in your browser. No transmission to our server or to third parties takes place, no input is stored, and no domain names are placed in cookies or other storage mechanisms.
4. Technically necessary storage and consent management
The website currently does not set any cookies. A local consent manager is technically prepared: should optional services be integrated in the future, it would obtain your consent before their activation and store this decision in a cookie named dr_consent (content: version, timestamp, chosen categories; legal basis for storage: section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act or Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR for demonstrating consent). As long as no optional services are active, no banner appears and no cookie is set.
5. External links to DomainCatcher
This website links to DomainCatcher.com. Clicking such a link takes you away from deinrecatch.de; from then on, the privacy policy of that provider applies. Our links contain UTM parameters (e.g. utm_source=deinrecatch), which merely tell the target provider that the visit came from this website – they contain no personal data. In addition, your browser may technically transmit the referrer URL; we limit this through a restrictive referrer policy (strict-origin-when-cross-origin).
6. Economic relationship
There is an economic relationship between the operator of this website and DomainCatcher (details: transparency page). Using our links creates no additional cost for you; no personal data is transmitted by us to DomainCatcher for this purpose.
7. No further services
This website currently uses no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no external consent platform, no Google Fonts, no external product images, no embedded DomainCatcher widgets, no contact form and no user accounts. Fonts and all resources are loaded locally or as system fonts.
8. Recipients
The recipient of technical data is our hosting provider as a processor. We do not transfer data to third countries. There are further recipients only if you actively contact us (in which case our email provider receives the message) or if legal obligations require it.
9. Retention periods
Server log files: short-term (see item 2). Email correspondence: as long as necessary for handling your request and any statutory retention obligations. Any consent cookie: a maximum of 180 days, or until you delete it.
10. Legal bases
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest: operation and security), Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent, should optional services be activated in the future), and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (handling your requests).
11. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with future effect. To do so, contact seo@byte.at.
12. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
13. Changes
We adjust this policy when the website or the legal situation changes – in particular before optional services are activated. Last updated: 22 July 2026.
